Choose Budva for combining activities. The beach, historic centre and a meal can fit into one outing. If tranquillity is essential, choose a specific address and room position; proximity to the centre alone does not mean a quiet night.

Before booking

Close to the sea — but which part?

These three bases provide different daily plans. Compare them according to what you will do most often.

01

The Old Town and surroundings

For returning to the squares, a meal and a walk beside the walls without a separate trip to the centre.

Best suited to
When evenings out and the historic centre matter as much as swimming.
Main trade-off
Access with suitcases, steps and the room's position require a more careful choice of address.
How to choose an address
02

Along Slovenska obala

For a day when you return from the beach to the apartment, take a break and head out again on foot.

Best suited to
When you want a promenade and a meal along your daily route to the sea.
Main trade-off
The beach is long; the harbour end and the part towards Hotel Park are different starting points.
Compare beaches
03

The urban area behind the coast

For a choice where the apartment layout or parking may matter more than a seafront location.

Best suited to
When you are ready to compare the whole walking route, not just the distance on a map.
Main trade-off
Crossings, climbs and steps can affect the return from the beach, especially with children.
Arriving by car

With children or a pushchair? Ask your host for a description or video of the route from the property entrance to your chosen bathing area. A terrace-view photograph does not show steps and crossings.

Choose according to your day

Which beach makes sense for you?

For a long urban stretch, look at Slovenska. For coves beyond Avala — Mogren. Beside the Old Town itself, choose a shorter break by the walls.

Slovenska Beach and the Budva coast

For a day beside the town promenade

Slovenska Beach

About 1600 m of coast from the town harbour to Hotel Park, with venues and a promenade. Choose the sector nearest your actual access from the apartment.

Surface
Pebbles, with patches of sand.
Why here
Swimming, a meal and a walk in one area.
What to pay attention to
Several separate bathing areas; the surface and conditions are not the same along the entire length.
Access, coastal sections and photographs
Mogren cove and beach

For swimming after the Old Town

Mogren

Two coves beyond Avala. The Budva Tourist Organisation lists an access path of about 350 m from the hotel — a beach visit is also a separate coastal outing.

Why here
Coves and swimming away from the marina area itself.
Important for access
Avoid the path in a southerly wind and strong waves.
With a pushchair or wheelchair
The journey's length alone does not confirm accessibility.
How to arrive and when to change plans
Ričardova glava Beach beside the walls of Budva Old Town

Ričardova glava

For a combination of a meal, walls and a short swim. Choose it for its position beside the historic centre, with an urban setting and venues.

Ričardova glava or Mogren? →
Pizana and the marina beside Budva Old Town

Pizana

About 50 m of pebble shore below Repeno tower, beside the pool and marina. A sensible choice for a short break, with much less space than Slovenska.

Location and swimming plan →
Sunbeds, shade and the cost of a beach day

At your chosen bathing area, check the price of a sunbed and parasol set, shade availability and space for your own towel. Before setting off, check the weather forecast and sea conditions.

Your first arrival, without rushing

One circuit through town.
One beach.

You need not visit the whole riviera on your first day. Learn the route you will return to, and leave room for a break.

Open the sightseeing plan →
  1. Coast and marina

From your coastal access, head towards the Old Town. Choose somewhere to eat along the way and get your bearings for the return.

  2. The Old Town and one cultural choice

Walk through the narrow streets and squares. For an additional visit, choose the museum or Citadel according to your interests; entry to the historic centre does not include every institution.

  3. A break beside the sea

Stay beside the walls or allow a continuation to Mogren when the path is suitable. For a town beach day, return to your chosen part of Slovenska.

With children: a shorter circuit and one swimming break make more sense than visiting every beach.

In rain: the museum is a cultural option when open. Save the exposed coastal path for suitable weather.

Arrival and getting around each day

On foot when you can.
A clear plan when you cannot.

Local riviera transport and the intercity bus station serve different roles. Choose parking before entering the centre.

Without a car

Local departures: Mediteranska Street by the roundabout, opposite Perla.

For Bečići and beyond, look at the Sveti Stefan and Petrovac routes. Jaz has a separate listed route towards Trsteno and Ploče.

Routes and return plan →

The car stays in town

For the central area: compare Zetafilm and Eksponat; TQ Plaza is a garage option in the operator's list.

Barrier: a ticket on entry, payment on exit. Street parking: different rules by zone, using SMS, e-KIOSK or a sales outlet.

How to choose and pay for parking →

Luggage and reaching the address

Reach the entrance, not just the pin. For the historic centre, agree beforehand where the drive ends and the walk begins.

For an apartment with parking, clarify space reservation and unloading options. For an intercity arrival, compare the bus drop-off location with the final approach.

Choosing an address and access →

Before setting off, check current departures and parking rates on the operator's and parking service's websites.
